custom component to upload images

I'd like to build a custom component where I can upload and display an image on a custom object 'Certificate__c'.
Can anyone guide me on how to achieve this?

Hi Gopal,

Thanks for the link. I'm actually using Lightning and I figured out how to add this component which allows me to drag and drop images into it.
