Custom pop up notification when records get created from third party application

Hi Devs,

I have requirement  which goes like this ,
There is a force.com site which inserts opportunity records into sfdc system . Now Business wants to show a pop up window (notification) to all user as soon as the opportunity records gets inserted  and that pop up should have a button for user to take ownership of that record . 
Is it implementable ? Can we notify user using pop up screen ?

Hi Sanju,

I trust you are doing very well.

You can't display an alert from a trigger. A trigger doesn't have any direct access to the user interface.

Hi Khan Anas,

Thanks for the reply .. Just to make you more clear about the scenario , 

The user can be in other tab /any objects record and then when the opportunity record gets created in background using trigger . wil the above solution help  ? I doubt so as there is standard vf page controller involved which is pertaining to specify record only (in this case opportunity) .

So will alert box pop up related to opportunity when record is created  even when user is in other tab/record .
