Hi Daniel,

Many programs uses API Requests.
e.g.
Callout to External Systems.
API Callout from Exteral Systems
Data Loader.
Eclipse
Many more.....

Get detailed Report
Reports => Administrative Reports=>API Calls Made Within Last 7 Days

Other way
set the debug log for one day or two day then look into the logs. This is bit tedious but would be very effective to get exact reason.
