How to update status field to new message

Hi all,

I created status field in message_log custom object.
Whenever a new message comes i want to update status field to new incoming message.
How can i achieve it can any suggest me.

Hello Nihar,

Is Status a Picklist field.
if it is a Picklist field then you have to do backend action (Workflow or Process Builder) to update that field.

Both are helpful according to your requirement .
You mentioned a new Message comes you want to update status field as Incoming message.
where this new message will come.

I choose Process Builder because i future workflows will stop.
