All trailhead progress lost

I have logged into trailhead after completing half of the Beginner Developer track this week and all my progress is gone. Nothing is showing up in in-progress modules or earned badges. Does anyone know what is the cause of this?

We just upgraded Trailhead last night and unfortunately your data may have gotten lost in the process. Can you send me an email to jdouglas@salesforce.com with your trailhead username I'll see what we can find out.

What most likely happened here is that you originally logged into Trailhead with a production login (probably your company login?) and then connected to a Developer Edition to complete the challenges. When you came back to Trailhead, you may have logged in first with the DE (instead of the production account which has your progress and badges).
Does this accurately describe your use case? If so, you can just login with the original production account to Trailhead and see your points and badges. Thanks
