Delete permissions on Acitivity

Hi All,

 

I have a requirement where in no user  should be able to delete the tasks or events. Any ideas on how to achieve this?

Srikanth,

 

Go to the Users Profile and Navigate to "General user permissions " section on the profile.

Uncheck the below two permissions:

 

Edit Events and Edit Tasks.

 

This will make sure that the user cannot delete any activities.

In such a case the user will not be able to create tasks and events. In my case I should restrict the users from deleting the activities but not from creating or editing.

You can remove Delete button from Task and Event pagelayouts.

Yes i can remove the delete button on the pagelayouts. But what about the related lists under Case or Lead. How do i remove the delete button on those related lists with out using the homepage component and scontrols?
