Default Close Date

How do I make the Close Date default to Today when creating an Oppty?

Set up a workflow rule to do a field update on create.  We do something simular to default the close date to the current date when we set the sales stage as Closed Won

Hi, if you have entperprise edition then Close Date is standard field, not sure if you can make any changes to standard field, specially if you have to make changes to formula.But, you can hide that field and create new one, set up as formula as:

Close Date=Today()
