Does SFDC talk to RDS?

I've been trying to set up a data sync job between Salesforce and a MySQL database hosted on Amazon's RDS using Talend, but I've been running into some issues.

 

I just want to check - is this supported/approved? Or is there a silient block in place to make this impossible?

Hi there,

As I know, Salesforce and Amazon aren`t best friends so far. But, I don`t have any issues on my prosses of synchronization between Salesforce and Amazon's RDS. So, maybe you need to change your synchronization tool. For example, I use this one (https://skyvia.com/data-integration/integrate-salesforce-amazon-rds)and as I told you before, no problems at all.
