When we create a new user,we select profile is "Standard User" May I know the reason

Hi,


In salesforce 6  standard profiles are there but, when we create a new user we select "Standard User" May I konw the reason.

There is no Particular Reason. As name suggest "Standard Profile" supposed to have default standard settings. You can use any profile. Standard or Custom.
