Is there a way to mass upload photo(full photo url) for users in salesforce?

Have a requirement to mass upload photo for the users like chatter photo. Is there a way to do it ?

I do not think there is a way to upload profile photos in bulk. However, there are apps in appexchange that would allow you to import images in bulk but not the profile photos. Anyone try with RESTful API? We're looking to bulk upload Chatter Photos for our community.

Would be nice if there was a way to do the equivelent of a Custom Formula IMAGE() reference.  In a previous Org, we opted to use a custom field on the User record to do this, so we could reference a set of pictures at a URL which werenamed "FirstName""LastName".png
