Update Records using Word

Hi can we update salesforce records when User Uploads Word documents of a certain template in salesforce

Technically you cannot have triggers on the Notes & Attachments object. You could however do something with a scheduled job and the number of attachments on a record, but that's pretty much the extent of it.
