There is no specific trail for the developer certification but taking the Admin Beginner trail and the Developer Beginner trail should be a good starting point. There are a total number of points but this changes as they add new trails and update old trails.
As far as i understand, trail is not a very detailed guide and at many places it assumes that the user going through the trail already have some knowledge about the topic. Thus it cannot be considered as a complete guide to dev-401 certification.
