Developer Registration Problem

I cannot sign up for the developer edition - It states my email user name (dlazor@salesforce.com) is already taken

Hi David,

Someone has already take this username for making their account. trysomething dlazor44665@salesforce.com or any new username.
Its only a username which is not the same for two people thats why you can not sign up with this username.

Hi David,

User Name is unqiue for user Name but Email is not unqiue. You can use the email id with different user name like below

Email :-  dlazor@salesforce.com
User Name :- David_Lazor@salesforce.com  or dlazor@salesforce.com.dev
