Deleting/Deactivate case recordtype
I have deactivated one the recordtype we have and I still see the option when I create a new case i.e. under 'Available cases record types'
I deleted it without any issues and it just got rid of the name. I now see the id of the deleted recordtype.
Is there something I'm missing here to remove it from the available case record types?
Please provide more information about where you are seeing the deleted record type. If possible add an image of it here.
Regards,
Mahesh
I tried in my developer environment and it got deleted properly.
You can do two things here:
--> Try to logout and login again.
--> Go to this URL
https://na30.salesforce.com/setup/ui/recordtypefields.jsp?id=01236000000JxIY&type=Case&setupid=CaseRecords
Replace your server instance and above SFDC id in the id value. So that we will see what exactly it is pointing to.
Also if possible, please show the Case Record Types page also as an image.

Mahesh
Thanks a lot!
Is the "External Record Type" is enabled for any profile. Is this option showing in the picklist of Record Type selection.
Is it possible to de-activate the "External Record Type" and see.

Mahesh
When it was active,
After I deactivated
This is weird or there is something I'm not getting.
