Getting production organization ID from sandbox using Apex

Is there an API which we can use to get Production organization Id from a Sandbox ?

There is no current way to do this.  You could always file an Idea on the IdeaExchange [1] but it will take a while for it to be delivered.  What are you trying to do with that information?
