Open Source projects in salesforce

Do we have any open source projects on Force.com platform like Java technology?
And if so, where I can find those???????

I am not sure exactly what you are asking for.

You can download few free app exchange application but you will not be able to playaround with them.

You can always go to Trailhead proejcts and develop something in your practive DEV ORG. I have added a link to various projects in salesforce.
