How to increase the character size of custom field (LongTextArea)...?

HI all,


How to increase the character size of custom field (LongTextArea)...?
By default it's charactor limit is 131072 characters (128 kB). I want to save more charactors in same field.

Please let me know If anyone have the solution for this problem..

Not possible with Salesforce.  Use any external systems which support more than 131072 and show in salesforce by using visualforce  or iframe

HI Puja,
the maximum character limit for long text area and rich text area fields is 131,072 (128 KB). we can't store more than 131072 char., this is the standard limitation in salesforce
