I created a new custom custom field in the Leads Object and cannot see it in my reports

I created a new checkbox field in Leads but cannot see it in my reports. What could cause this not to flow to my reports for Leads?

Is it's your custom report type? 

Please add it to the report type.From Setup, enter Report Types in the Quick Find box, then select Report Types.

I tried that too - the field is not there but it is on my page layout...

Check Field Level Securities for the field .. Make sure your profile should have access

I gave access to all profiles.  I made sure it was on the page layout adn can see it in all leads.  It is just not in my reports....
