Salesforce Lightning Development

Hi,

Is salesforce ligthtning is ruling now ? Is it necessary to learn lightning as developer? what will be used in lightning development and what are prerequisites to learn it.?

Prerequisites : 
Basic knowledge of Salesforce platform.
Basic knowledge of HTML , JavaScript (basic) & CSS.
Basic knowledge of Apex programming & Database.

Yes, its  necessity for salesforce developer because the lightning component is very fast compared to salesforce classic 

Salesforce Lightning much more advantage compared to salesforce classic.

Yes, Now every client movinh their transcation in LIghtning.
Lightning Component is build block which helps to call where ever you want and it helps in reusable of code.

prerequisites:
Need to learn JavaScript and need to have knowledge on Apex
