Unexpected error IWVYGERW during Challenge #7 of Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards Specialist superbadge

Working on the Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards Specialist superbadge, I'm at Challenge #7 (Create the SolarBot dashboard) and getting the following error:

There was an unexpected error while verifying this challenge. Usually this is due to some pre-existing configuration or code in the challenge Org. We recommend using a new Developer Edition (DE) to check this challenge. If you're using a new DE and seeing this error, please post to the developer forums and reference error id: IWVYGERW

This is a new trailhead org, created excusively for completing this bage (no other Trailhead modules have been worked in this org). I had a similar unexpected error in a different org, on my previous superbadge -- also when creating dashboards, and corrected it by doing a dashboard refresh. Tried the same thing here, to no avail. Even with a freshly "refreshed" dashboard, I get the error.

Any suggestions? Could not find the IWVYGERW error code in discussion forum searches.

Hi Seabury,

Sorry for this issue you are encountering.

If you are using a brand new developer org then please double check that your org doesn't have a namespace enabled.\

If the problem continues,  log out of all accounts and log in once again in a different browser by clearing the cache and cookies which should probably do the trick.

Follow the below steps which might help you pass the challenge.

  • SolarBot Pipeline by Stage:
Report: SolarBot Loyalty Revenue
Component Type: Vertical Bar
Tip:Max Groups Displayed = 9
  • Case Drivers and SolarBot Ownership:
Report: Top Case Drivers by SolarBot Ownership
Component Type: Vertical Sack Bar
Tip: Stack to 100%
  • Temperature and Kilowatt Hour Relationship:
Report: Temperature to kWh Research
Component Type: Line Type
Tip:X Axis=Temperature Range and SolarBot Model
Y Axis=Average KiloWatt Hours
  • SolarBot Evangelism Countdown:
Report: Accounts without SolarBot Opportunities
Component Type: Gauge Type
Tip: Careful the Segment Range Setting
  • Opportunity Overview:
Report: SolarBot Loyalty Revenue
Component Type: Lightning Table
Tip: Set Prospecting first on the list stage opportunities

Thanks for the tips, Nagendra.

1.) This was a new Trailhead Playground (TP) org, but I checked Namespace settings. They were not set.
2.) I cleared cookies / cache, that did not resolve the issue.
3.) I reviewed the tips that you linked. That prompted me to update 3 different components on my dashboard, which allowed me to complete the challenge successfully.

Hello,

So I had a hell of a time figuring out step 7, thought I'd share my setup in full detail to help people along because this step is notibly broken and needs to be fixed. I didn't have to spin up a new org or Trailhead Sandbox to comlpete this, just loads of small tweaks and refreshing the dashboard before checking the challenge. I've duplicated these details on Pastebin (https://pastebin.com/r102HTYT) as well for safe keeping.

Salesforce really needs to fix this challenge, there's no reason why it should be so picky about some of these values. In my humble opinion, it would be far better if we were told what chart type to use with what report and maybe check for the right x and y axis. The other stuff is just window dressing.

Agreed.
Getting the dreaded "unexpected error while verifying this challenge" is a symptom of sloppy testing code. That is not an optimal way to teach or learn.

But it still doesn't work , it says: Challenge Not yet complete... here's what's wrong:
We can’t find the four reports from the SolarBots Acquisitions folder reorganized into their new folders.

Remember to refresh your dashboard! My issue was that I was only saving and not refreshing.

Hi @ saif khan 30 and @  Igor Fedorenko 4,

The screenshot you send only has One Dashboard Component. But It should have all the Five Dashboard  Components.
So I guess because of the incomplete work, it is displaying the error in that manner.

I would highly recommend you to again go through the 'Design the SolarBot Impact Dashboard' part of this final module properly.

You can also refer the following screenshot to gauge your progress in the correct path.

Exact Outlook of Dashboard

Additionally, I would also suggest you to ensure that the size of the components fulfil the criteria as mentioned. I experienced a lot of error for that reason.

Hope this helps you. :)

I followed the tip "Tip: Max Groups Displayed = 9" and it worked!  Thanks so much!  (It is still not displaying like AVINASH NAIR 7's screenshot above, but I'll take it!).

I got this same error during the Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards on #7

Literally none of the resources online were able to solve my issue and trust me I tried everything. Everytime I would refresh after saving my component data would be missing.

For whoever has exhausted everything I discovered a workaround.

Instead of saving after creating each dashboard component "save as" and create "Solar Impact Dashboard 2" and then create your next Dashboard component in there and then Save as "Solar Impact Dashboard 3" and so on and so forth. When you have created all of your dashboard components and they are displaying properly evern when you refresh you should be able to go in and delete the original one and rename your final Dashboard "Solar Impact Dashboard" and it should pass.

Hope this helps someone.
