Can Javascript read cookies used by LiveAgent?

LiveAgent uses the following cookies -
liveagent_oref,
 
liveagent_ptid, and
 
liveagent_vc.

Can anyone advise what type of data they hold during a live session (examples would help and if its sensitive data), and if that data could be read by Javascript?
