What does the status ‘Provisioning’ mean after selecting “salesforce serves the domain over HTTPS, on Salesforce servers, using your HTTPS certificate” in the domain page?

The Certificate was uploaded and visible in the “Certificate and Key Management” section.

Hi Yurenma,

I trust you are doing very well.

Provisioning means getting ready for activation. The provisioning process and can take 2–6 hours. The Provisioning Status field changes from Provisioning to Awaiting Activation when complete. You receive an email when the process is complete. No downtime or disruption is expected during the provisioning process.

Hi Khan, 

Thank you for your prompt response.  We did this last week and it has been with this status since then.  Yesterday, we tried to upload the certifcate again to make sure we did it rigth and the result is the same, the status doesn't change from provisioning.  Any idea what could be wrong? We opened a ticket with SF support but they were not able to support since we don't have premium support.

We finally had to open a case with SF again to get support to change the status from "Provisioning" to "Awaiting Activation", since it was stuck on "Provisioning" Status .  They changed it for us and we were able to active it.
