PDF parsing to store data in Account object

Hi,

The requirement is to pull data from PDF and storing it as the custom field on Account object?

Is it possible to parse the PDF using Apex? 

If Yes, please share the necessary documents.

If No, please share the alternative approach/solution.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
