Is it possible to create custom object data automatically  using liveagent prechat API

I have requirment to  create custom object data and Case automatically when a prechat form is completed using liveagent prechat API
I think it is not possible to create custom object record. You can create Salesforce records—like a case, contact.
Workaround could be - process builder action -  to create a custom object record on insertion of Case/Contact from pre-chat API.
