Some standard salesforce fields are only available in Edit mode, but not in view mode. eg: Opportunity Currency field in opportunity object....may i know is that the salesforce standard behaviour. if yes, Experts, can you help me providing the list of fld

If you are using Eclipse then go to schema explorer and check the objects. You will find the option under each object and its fields as creatable, updatable, viewable, nullable etc.
