is it possible to show a popup similar to close opportunity popup and be able to select the close stage?

We have a custom object which is similar to Opportunities. For the closing stage for the custom object, is it possible to add a stage selection the way it is shown in Opportunities?

The stage selection is known as Sales Path which is available only or opportunity.

But you can create your own. Lightning design system provides template for Sales Path

Further you need to write your own logic in lightning component to perform the same action for your custom objects.
