unable to search using the product code

Hi All,

I need some help. I am trying to seach for the product using the product code but unable to do that. The Product code field that i am using is a custom field and when i enter the product code (eg: *264 and say go) i should be able to see the product. 

As of now i am able to search with only the Name. Can anyone please help me on this

HiMohan,

I am able to get results based on product code. You can check it by accessing your product object and go to the Search Layouts section. Edit the Lookup Dialogs. You will notice that the default "Selected Fields" will be the object name. You can add other fields to this. Also try Search Results.

Dear Mohan Chander,

Below article may help you. By default it will search on Name and if you want to search on other fields, we need to select All fields option after making the necessary changes mentioned in below link.
