How to Activate a picklist value After deactivating it ..?

I tried deactivating a picklist value and activating it by clicking the Activate in inactive values section as shown in the image. The value reappeared as expected . Why do we need to recreate a picklist value to reactivate it ? Cant we reactivate it by clicking the Activate near the Inactive value ??

Can't we activate using this Activate ?

No need to recreate any picklist values those are in inactive section . Need to activate the value for further usage .

Hi Anil ,

If we make a picklist value inactive , can we view that picklist value when using filter in Reports ? If I am not wrong , I dont think we can see  it ..So, Do we need to Activate it to use it in the report filter ?

Hi Sandhya ,

Yes , We need to activate the inactive picklist values to use in the report filetrs . Inactive picklist values are not available while using filters .
