Hi, I am trying to work in Trailhead and learning about adding a stage to an opportunity. I have prospect listed as a stage option, but prospect does not show up on the dropdown to select on the new opportunity.

Hi Cathy,

 

Opportunity Stage values are controlled via Sales Process in Salesforce. Please verify if you have recordtypes created on Opportunity.

If Yes, verify the Sales Process associated with the RecordType.

You will then find which Stage values are available for the Sales Process.

Setup -> Customize -> Opportunities -> Sales Processes

Setup -> Customize -> Opportunities -> Record Types

Hi Vivian, I am still lost on this one… I have set up both the Sales Process and the Record Type, but I am still unable to select the Prospect as a stage option. Would it be possible to have a phone conversation and walk through this?
