Salesforce endpoint changing ?

I've been informed that salesforce endpoint will change in November 2017?
Will it impacts the previous version of the API? I am currently using version 29.

I guess there's no endpoint changes in the upcoming release ? Even if yes, it is related to the API changes and it won't affect the current version I am using.

Correct me if i am wrong.
