How to use Javascript inside a HYPERLINK function in a Formula field

Please share some examples for this.

Hi Suhas, 

1. This cannot be done. Javascript cannot be executed from hyperlinks. Best bet would be to go with the java script button for standard pagelayouts.
2. Because you are searching this, I think you are creating this field to be added in a VF page field set. If you are using the details link in VF the javascript button would work, but otherwise, coding is the only way.
