How to parse document saved as an attachment ?

I am working on Document Parsing / Content searching in salesforce but in salesforce, my documents are saved as an attachment.

Anyone, who worked on this kind of requirement please Help me out with this ?

What is the file type of the documents you want to parse? Is it pdf , image or word or excel sheets?

file type would be PDF or Word docs but it saved as an attachment in attachment object.

Let me know if you can give me some idea about it.
