How can I install a managed package from app exchange if my dev org is locked out?

Awhile back when I was new, I used my real email address as my username, and that's why I think everytime I want to install something to my account it just does this "dev-ed.lightning.force.com redirected you too many times." and tells me to delete cookies (which never works).  I am able to complete most of my challenged but am stuck now on Identity for customers, and the Security specialist superbadge, because they want me to install Trailhead Security superbadge managed package.

Someone from Salesforce.com was able to help me last time, but it took a month before I got an answer.  Anybody have a workaround for this issue that doesn't require me starting an entirely new Account and losing all my badges?  Thanks!

Aaryon,

Are you able to login to the Developer Edition org? If not, you can raise a case with Salesforce support and they can unlock it for you provided it is not deleted.

As far as your trailhead account goes, a single Trailhead account can be linked to multiple Salesforce DE orgs or Trailhead Playgrounds. So, you don't need to fear losing your badges or having to start all over again. All you need to do is, login to your trailhead account and navigate to Settings > Connect an org and add a new salesforce org or churn out a new Trailhead Playground. Refer the snapshot below.

If this does nto help you can refer to the Trailhead FAQ (https://developer.salesforce.com/page/Trailhead_FAQ)or contact Trailhead Support at trailhead@salesforce.com.

Hi Jigarshah, thanks for the detailed reply!  Actually what you're saying is great.  My question is this, I'm not sure what a Dev ed org actually is.  I had an original account which this all stems from.  When I go to force.com for instance, and type in my username and password, this happens...User-added image
BUT... I can log into trailhead, but I cannot install anything from Appexchange because the ABOVE message keeps happening, even though I created new playgrounds.  Does that help any?  Thanks for your time and have a great evening.

Aaryon,

A DE org is actually a Developer Edition org and is a life time free org with limited licenses all features available. Its basically an org where you can play around and get handson with Salesforce.

You can sign for Developer Orgs by navigating to https://developer.salesforce.com/ (https://developer.salesforce.com/)and clicking the Sign Up button and filling in the sign up form (similar to the usual sign up process for any website).

If you are unsure of what edition your existing org is, you can login to your org and navigate to Setup > Company Information > Search for Organization Edition on the page. This should help you identify the edition of your org.

The above message looks like a login issue. Have you tried clearing your browser cookies (Use Ctrl + Shift + Del for Chrome browser to clear browser cookies.) Refer the snapshot below. Once done restart the browser and try logging in. You should be able to login now.
