Chatter Free User license missing


I have one problem while trying to achieve one trailhead challenge.
I need to create a user with the User license Chatter Free, but this users license has dissapear from the drop list.

What can I do to recover that user license?

Sorry for this issue you are encountering.

May I request you please confirm which edition of Salesforce you are using and also can you post the screenshot of the licenses available in your Org.

If I create new users, the Chatter free license is available, but if I tried to changed an existing one to use these license i can't.

Having exact same issue here. Company profile shows 5000 Available!

You can not change existing user license to Chatter Free license. You should create new user and choose it in the beginning.

If you are unable to find chatter free license while solving a Super Badge Challenge for Business administration Specialist , just freeze the user and create new user with the same first & last name but with unique username for this time. This will work for you!!
If you have any exiting user with other salesforce licence ,  To ensure the level of access provided to a paid user icense is reverted and not visible as part of the downgrade to a Chatter Free license , so for that you have to create new salesforce user with Unique user name and correct licence type , freeze the existing user before creating new one . good luck !
