How to mark trailhead unit as Read?

I do not see any option on the page, however the challenge section says that 'This unit doesn't have a challenge. You can still earn points by marking the unit as read. Good job!' 
This is for Creating and Customizing Lightning Apps trail.

Hi all - sorry for the trouble. This unit is currently missing the associated challenge, and we'll need to make a fix before you can complete the module. We're targeting 11/1 for the fix. Please hold off on this module until then. My apologies again for the inconvenience.

This module is required to be completed to open the lightning experience specialist superbadge challenge. So do I need to wait till 11/1 for that to open?
