You can use Web-to-Lead functionality for this scenario. The web-to-lead will generate the HTML code in salesforce and you can utilise the code in your website. The form will allow you to select list of information you want to collect from your customer and store it in salesforce. Then in salesforce you can have workflow rule/process builder to send an email notification to the customer.
