Collaboration on the go - Bug

The Salesforce1 Collaboration on the Go challenge doesn't work if you use https instead of http in the link you post Chatter, despite what the instructions say. Re-posting it with an http link solves the issue.

The challenge will accept http and https. We specify in the challenge it needs to be the Link type post.

We had a brief period in February where the challenge reverted to only accepting http. I'm very sorry this happened. It was corrected within days and is now accepting both http and https again.

Hi,

Appreciate your post.I would suggest you send feedback on this clicking on the feedback link on the same page of trailhead where you have a challenge so that trailhead team would do appropriately.

Thanks and Regards
Sandhya

Heard back on Twitter that it shouldn't be httpS, but http. Tried it and completed the badge. They're updating the lesson.

It took me so long to get this to work! You can't simply paste the link into the box, you have to select the "link" type (even though either way has the same result). Then you have to make sure you use "http" not "https" when pasting the link into the "link post". Insane!

I'm experiencing this same issue where I get a message about the challenge not yet completed. I tried back in February and am trying again now. I've used the link icon on my Salesforce1 app and typed in both the http and https URLs. Each time I click Check Challenge I continue to get the message. I look at my feed and both link posts are displaying.

Hi, I am also having a problem with this. Am I doing something wrong here? User-added image

Yes, you need to use the Link type post. We put a big note in the challenge specifying that.

Make sure you're using the Link type post, not just embedding the link in a regular post. We also updated the challenge so it would accept http and https, so either one will work.

Wait, can this only be done through the app? Because I can't post anything on Chatter using the Salesforce1 app.
Chris DuarteChris Duarte
Yes, you're supposed to be doing this challenge from the app. It states that in the challenge.

If you can't do this from the app, switch to Salesforce Classic, select the Link type post, and post to chatter.

Great! It worked! I'll make sure to uninstall SalesForce1 app and just use Classic View. Thanks Chris!

The suggestion to switch to classic view and post from the laptop is the way I got this to work. Thanks Chris!
