Neelambari Nawale 1 contact history shows XYZ User updating contact records without that XYZ user actually doing it
Hello,
we are experiencing contacts records are getting updated by specific user in salesforce but the fact is that user never did or performed any update. we have noticed changes on address fields at random time (after office hours). The record's Last Modified By shows an actual User. In most cases the real person is not even logged in at the time of the change.Any help nailing down this will be apprecited.

This might be because user details might be used somewhere in existing components like batch class, flows etc and it actual runs in user context and makes DML operation on the record.
If you need more details enable debug logs for user for sometime and once the process executes you can find details in logs.
Else log a case with salesforce and they can provide you required details about user and components.
