Using an Encrypted field within a formula field

I am trying to create an Age Formula field that takes in the custome date field Birthdate the only issue is Birthdate is Encrypted. Is there any way to do this?

Only certain operators are supported for encrypted data fields, checkout this article (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=sf.security_pe_formulas.htm&type=5) for more details.
