unexpected error while verifying this challenge. Usually this is due to some pre-existing configuration or code in the challenge Org. We recommend using a new Developer Edition (DE) to check this challenge

Hi, I'm doing a trailhead superbadge in a newly created playground and I could successfully check the first five challenges. When trying to check the sixth one, I get this error message.

There was an unexpected error while verifying this challenge. Usually this is due to some pre-existing configuration or code in the challenge Org. We recommend using a new Developer Edition (DE) to check this challenge. If you're using a new DE and seeing this error, please post to the developer forums and reference error id: QRNYONVM

Please advise on how to proceed further.

Hi Monika,

Sorry for this issue you are facing.

May I request you please confirm if you are using a brand new developer org in order to validate this challenge, if not then I would suggest you create a brand new org and give a try which should probably do the trick.

If you are using a brand new developer org then please double check that your org doesn't have a namespace enabled. If that doesn't help please give a try by restarting the batch.

If the problem continues,  log out of all accounts and log in once again in a different browser by clearing the cache and cookies which should probably do the trick.

Hope this helps.

Kindly mark this as solved if the reply was helpful so that it gets removed from the unanswered queue which results in helping others who are encountering a similar issue.

Thanks,
Nagendra

Hi Monika,

Check there will be a step missing or something went wrong as well as Name/API Name will not be according to challenge.
Basically, Salesforce will show a weird error if there is something wrong.
This is not great news I did not create many org for due to this Error.

I saw dozens of posts in the success community and Developer forum. Which in a way understandable given the number of users encountering the error. What is less understandable is that the bug isn’t getting fixed. I sincerely hope that this can help the issue.

The below steps is based on my specific example and I can’t guarantee it will work in your specific case. But several comments from other users prove that the solution works, as they have managed to successfully pass by this error following the steps below.

1- Delete the existing Challenge file
2- Delete it from the bin as well
3- Wait for 5-10 minutes
4- Try to Check Challenge again
5- The original error should disappear and be replaced by a challenge related message like ‘Couldn’t find ...that Challenge file Something like that...’ (“3. Create Again”)
6- Now try to create the deleted Challenge file. Make sure you don’t make any mistake in the name, as for some people error appears when they rename.

I hope you find the above solution helpful. If it does, please mark as Best Answer to help others too.

Thanks and Regards,
