convert lead to opportunity only

How can I convert Lead to only Opportunity. (but not Account and Contact) with apex

Hi Aicha,

Greetings to you!

There is no way you can stop Account creation on Lead conversion. The whole point of lead conversion to create Account so as to ensure the business is taking place with the customer. However, you can delete Account and Contact after the conversion.

Hi AichaSF,

On the lead conversion screen, it gives you the option to either create the Lead and Contact under an Existing Account or to create a new one.  The system takes the first crack at guessing what Account you might want to add it to, but you can use the lookup to add to anything

There is no any option to convert lead only Opportunity because Leads converts into an account and contact,
as well as (optionally) an opportunity.
Yes, but after creation you can delete account to query on Opportunity.
