Screen flow component reference is not working with filtered lookup
Hi everyone,
I think that I found a bug in the screen flow component "reference" when referencing a filtered lookup. Salesforce support told me to ask here about it.
Here the official documentation : https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=flow_ref_elements_screencmp_lookup.htm&type=5
How to reproduce :
1 - create a new lookup field from contact to account "account2" without filtering
2 - create a simple screen flow with only a reference component using this new lookup
3 - test it : you find all your account
4 - add a filter on the lookup to display only the account of the contact
5 - nothing in the flow now :
I have the same results if the filter is optional.
Did i missunderstand something ? Or is this a bug ?

No sorry. I don't know if it was already in the documentation (https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.flow_ref_elements_screencmp_lookup.htm&type=5) but now dependent lookup filter are clearly not supported.
I think you can try using a record choice option:

Or you can use the custom component from Unofficial SF:

Greetings!
I suspect that it could be because of the filter criteria that you have used. So,I would suggest you to check,if there is any record which is meeting the criteria.
Also,it would be great if you can check with the simple criteria to narrow down the scenario.
Kindly mark it as best answer if it helps so that it can help others in the future.

The lookup is working fine :
That's why I think there is a problem with this new component which should just copy the lookup or, if I understand the documentation, doesn't take into account the filter.

Simon
I have the same issue for filtered Lookup.
Have you discovered the solution ?

Good tidings!
I speculate that it very well may be a direct result of the channel measures that you have used. So,I would recommend you to check,if there is any record which is meeting the models.
Also,it would be extraordinary on the off chance that you can check with the straightforward measures to limit the situation.
Benevolently mark it as most intelligent reply in the event that it helps so it can help other people later on. https://echirobilling.com/our-services/
