How to migrate files from 1 org to another?

Hi. I need to migrate files (previously called attachments) from our Old Salesforce org into our New one.
  • I already tried running a report to show all files, but it’s not showing any files.
  • As a test, I attached a file myself. The report didn’t even show the file that was owned by me.
  • Not sure what the best way is to go about this?
If file permissions would get in the way—what would be the best way to go about this?

Thank you for your help.

You can try with the tool called FileExporter to migrate files from one org to another one. Please refer the below blog for more information which might help you.

Abhishek-- I know how to migrate data, but not files (attachments--keeping them in the same format and re-importing).
Shirisha-- The tool that you recommended is not usable any longer. Due to the necessary Dataloader version 17.0, it is relies on the use of TLS 1.0 encryption which is retired per Winter 18.
