Linked Object Fields not displaying in email Template

Hello, I have an email template with the following layout.  All the field display properly except the OD Sets fields and I can't figure out why.  Can anyone suggest what I may do to fix the issue?

Hi Pat, 

The OD SETS fields are all not fields on Opportunity and that's the reason they don't show up. This is how email templates behave.

As suggested here, you can go for formula fields on Opportunity and then refer those fields in your template or look for alternate options like a visualforce template.
