Customer Centric

Hi all,

I was thinking about how to make an Org more customer centric.
So to collect all leads and opportunities with a "Customer" object to see a full timeline of the customer. As we generate the leads by a Webform there should be a mechanism to detect if this customer already signed in.

I was thinking to have a person account or the individuals object on top of every lead and opportunity.

So I would love to share ideas and experiences.

Thanks,

Marc

Is youe org supports B2C model or B2B model? Are you talking about creating "Customer" as a custom object? If so, it's not the right way. You should use account and contact incase of B2B and person account in C2C. In Salesforce, Account is mean for storing customer's information only.

Thanks for the answers.

It's B2C. What do you think about the individuals object?

For B2C, you should use Account object to store Customers info and Contact object to store their contacts info.
