Dev Hub Login

I am confused about how to actually log into my dev hub. I have set it up OK from my partner business org by enabling everything. But, how do I actually log into the hub to create a sandbox. All the Salesforce help information starts with, "Log into the Environment Hub" as if it is obvious. What do I do after enabling the hub?

Robert,

Try the commands as mentioned in the below trail,

https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/sfdx_app_dev/sfdx_app_dev_setup_dx#log-in-to-the-dev-hub

Let me know if it helps you and close your query by marking it as solved so that it can help others in the future.

Thanks.

Hi Robert,

Greetings!

Seems like you are talking about Environment Hub (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=environment_hub_intro.htm&type=5) which can allow you to connect, create, view, and log in to Salesforce orgs from one location.

Here,Login into the Environment Hub means login to the org where you have Environment Hub is enabled.

Please refer the steps in the below document for more detailed information.

https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=environment_hub_get_started.htm&type=5

Kindly mark it as best answer if it helps so that it can help others in the future.

Warm Regards,
Shirisha Pathuri

Thanks. That's what I thought. But when I log into the partner business org where I have enabled the hub, I do not see any of the commands like Create Connect Org or anyway to add a sandbox. I search for "Connect" in the setup menu and it doesn't come up. I can click on Dev Hub but it just shows the enable page that where I enabled everything on the page.

I'm wondering if this is related to not having my acceptance to the salesforce partner community case closed, yet. I had to submit a case to rejoin and it has not been closed, yet. I thought this would be separate and I would be able to set up test orgs from my partner business org.

Any ideas?

Thanks for you help.

Bob

And, Abhishek, thanks for your suggestion. Command line will come in useful at some point, but right now it just gets me into the partner business org where I don't see commands to view or modify the hub - just the setup page.

I'm also confused in logging to the dev hub account GarageBand PC (https://igarageband.org/garageband-for-pc-windows-download/)

I finally figured this out. The Environment Hub is a different application. You click on the Apps icon at the top left (square shaped bunch of dots) and open. Select View All. You will find the environment hub in there if you have on. There is no hub for the dev org. It must be accessed from your Production or Partner Business Org.
