Where is series ID in the new Lightning recurring event model?
Spring'19 release has made the new recurring event model available which is very different from the original model for series. Could someone please provide a REST API (v45) or APEX example of creating a new series?
The main problem with the new model is that occurrences don't have a series ID field (like the classic model's RecurrenceActivityId) anymore and it's impossible to tell which events are from the same series and which ones are not.
Thank you.

Update from product team: We don't currently support creating Lightning recurring events through the Public API. It is on our roadmap for the future, but we don't have a date when that functionality will be available yet.
What is the point of releasing a half baked API support for the new recurring event model, that is clearly unusable? This feels very much like creating a competitive advantage for Lightning Sync over all other partner developed sync solutions. So sad to realize Salesforce does not care about its ISV partners anymore. Very frustrating.
