Is there anyway to remove the name field column from the Related list of an object.( The solution should be not be using Visualforce page - as most of the other online answers suggest, wanted to know if there was any other way)

This is the standard functionality by salesforce. Please find the below idea for the same which suggests that it cannot be done in standard way .
