Error when try to import jks files - "no certificate was imported because the keystore file doesn't contain a privatekey entry". How do I troubleshoot this and make the jks file import work?

One of the certificate is expiring.  I tried to import jks files but I'm getting this error message - "no certificate was imported because the keystore file doesn't contain a privatekey entry".  How do I troubleshoot this and make the jks file import work?
Thank you.
