hi Sachin,
In simple terms, SFDC is Salesforce(.)DotCom,
SFDX is Salesforce Developer Experience. is the new environment we create, like sandbox, named - Scratch org for developing new functionalities. The difference between scratch org and sandbox is that the sandbox has metadata already present (when creating a new or refreshing through a production or other sandbox environment), but the scratch org is a new box without any metadata.

Hi Sachin,

1. SFDC is Salesforce(.)DotCom
SFDC stands for SalesForceDotCom. The company would have retained just SF. But as trends on  Social Communities started getting wider the acronym faced the uncertainty of getting hijacked by other trends.

For ex: Initially, on Twitter, Salesforce used both #Salesforce and #SF as hashtags to monitor the interactions. Later, it got too crowded to use #SF since it may be SemiFinal of an event, etc. So then it decided to switch to SFDC. Now this has gained the prominent Keyword status on    many communities(including Stackexchange) and also on Google Rankings

2. SFDX is Salesforce Developer Experience.
It is the new environment we create, like a sandbox, named - Scratch org for developing new functionalities. The difference between scratch org and sandbox is that the sandbox has metadata already present (when creating a new or refreshing through production or other sandbox environments), but the scratch org is a new box without any metadata.

Hi Sachin,

Greetings to you!

I have gone through your query and I realize.

SFDC:- SFDC stands for Salesforce.com. It is a distributed computing and social venture software-as-a-service (SaaS) supplier situated in San Francisco.
It was established in March 1999, to a limited extent by previous Oracle executive Marc Benioff. is the most popular cloud-based CRM today.
Salesforce is known for its CRM platform that includes the Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Data Cloud, Analytics Cloud, App Cloud, and IoT (Internet of Things).

SFDX:- Salesforce DX (Developer Experience) is a set or new tools and features to improve, well..., the developer experience and ALM of the Salesforce Platform.
In other words, all of these new tools and features work against or are apart of the Salesforce Platform.

Hi Sachin,

Salesforce.com(SFDC) is the original platform for building and deploying custom applications on the Salesforce platform. It's a centralized, web-based platform that provides a range of tools and features for customizing and extending the Salesforce platform.
While Salesforce Developer Experience(SFDX) is a more recent development platform that provides a set of tools and features specifically designed for modern application development and delivery. It's a command-line interface (CLI) based platform that enables developers to build, test, and deploy custom applications faster and more efficiently.
In short, SFDC is the older platform while SFDX is a more recent and modern platform, designed for a more efficient and streamlined development process.

SFDC stands for Salesforce.com, which is a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) software used to manage customer data, sales processes, marketing campaigns, and customer service activities.
SFDX, on the other hand, stands for Salesforce Developer Experience. It is a set of tools and processes developed by Salesforce to make it easier for developers to build and manage applications on the Salesforce platform. SFDX allows developers to work on projects in a modular and collaborative way, using features like source control, scratch orgs, and packaging.
In summary, SFDC is the name of the Salesforce CRM software, while SFDX is a set of tools and processes designed to make it easier for developers to build and manage applications on the Salesforce platform.
